This one with words on top of black will tell stories every now and then.
They will reveal things that wouldn't normally be brought to light or share interesting observations and other tales to pass the time. Most of them will be related to the main story in some way.
Whenever the eye symbol is the chapter thumbnail, it is one of these intermission-like chapters.
