True story that happened before I travel to NY:
So mom and dad know I did AMOLAD for about 5 months now, and they're been pretty supportive and not interfering. One day while they helped me pack my suitcases, they asked further about my comic. Dad was asking what the comic was about and Mom told him it was a homoerotic gay romance. Dad was genuinely surprised and asked why draw that kind of story.
"Well... gay isn't what I'd use to describe it, dad."
"There are two men right?" Mom said. I nodded. "So it's a gay couple."
I thought for a bit to justify myself.
In the end I simply told them:
"They're not exactly human. But that doesn't really matter. The point is... don't think of them as two men. Just think of them as two person understanding each other and falling in love. Genders are convenient tags, but they carry with them certain conventions and cliches. If a writer says their story is a gay/straight/lesbian story, they might be subconsciously limiting themselves to these preexisting scenarios."
I think that's true for any romance subgenre. And although my parents aren't as open as I am about the LGBTQA+ community (they tolerate it mostly, but they still think it's abnormal), they seem to genuinely understand what I'm trying to say.

Read Right to Left, Downwards.
Death's job isn't really his favorite, but it's not like he could change it. It doesn't help that he's attracted to his opposite who seems to detest his very existence.
This comic contains rather dark themes later on that might be uncomfortable for readers, viewer discretion is advised.
Oh, and sexual content too.
Updates Friday (usually), but whenever I have free time is the main principle.
