Hey everyone! Thanks for coming back for yet another issue of Ridgely Forge. The supportive readers who check these out every week seriously keep us going. That, and the countless energy drinks consumed weekly by this team. There’s nothing like a rush from consuming all the sundaes, chips and dip, and everything your mom told you not to do when you were younger to get in the headspace for writing children.
I am reminded constantly of the first time I moved away from home. I had no parental supervision and was on my own. So, what did this 18-year-old eat for breakfast the first day of college courses you might ask? Cake and ice cream, heavy on the ice cream. And I regretted it by 8:30 am. I rushed to the cafeteria between my 8-8:50 and 9-9:50 classes to get a huge cup of coffee and two waters. The sugar rush was dying, and so were my first impressions. I don’t think I ate cake and ice cream again until a birthday party in February; and that was just a small serving to save face with the family.
You, as the reader, currently give me more motivation than all the ice cream, cake and upset stomach medication can muster in me at this point in my life, so congratulations. I always appreciate hearing from you so leave a comment and like our comic! And, as always, thank you for all of your support and for reading!
Special shout-out to BJTinch! You, sir, are awesome! Thanks for your comments, encouragement, and for sticking by us from the beginning.
