In the dream the boy learns his father’s name Alexander. This time in the dream he learns that he had a dog, a pure white like the snow on a dark night in the forest but strangely with amber eyes almost like gold itself. That was the first thing to left the boy alone.
Then boy wakes up to find that his rabbit is crawling with maggots, still eating the flesh of the rabbit's decaying body. He realizes that he left the rabbit out, not letting it stay in one of the rooms or in a contained area for protection, against the elements and protection against the insects and pests, that want to take his food away from him.
This time when he leaves the house making sure to have the door shut so nothing can get in without his say. He goes out to find 3 rabbits. When he goes out to find food he notices that their are claw marks of that bear he saw the other day, he knows now that he should stay away from the area that are marked by the claws.
This time he decides to fish to get food. But he only has the spear he remembers seeing somewhere in the books something called "Spear Fishing." He decides that he should do that to help him get food more easily, he goes near the lake then takes off all his clothes.
(The boy is a somewhat toned now as he has been exerting his body to get away from the bear and to hunt. Which he has actually been doing for a week at this point in time I am actually just skipping the boring parts like. gets up and then starts to hunt for food and things. I will go into other details when it is plot relevant or something interesting happens that day.)
He talks to himself saying, "What should I call the bear I can't call him bear anymore it is to simple since he is my enemy I should call him something that means danger," he says to himself thinking of good names, then he things of the name of "Háski, it means danger... I think," what the boy called Háski was really the norse word for danger.
As the boy spots a good sized fish for his dinner and to keep for food he lunges out and misses the fish. When he does this he realizes that the spear is a little bit lower from the fish then normal like the water somehow teleported the spear lower.
Then he tries it again but aiming a bit higher this time learning from his mistake, he hits it right into the side almost pierce of the fish he quickly brings it up onto land to kill it and ends it pain then he says something that slowly slips out of his mind.
“Your death is giving me life. ”
