"These...that...it's me" I blurted. There were drawings of me running,  drawings of me drinking water, and even drawings of me just standing around. Some were black and white, and some with so many beautiful colors. There was one that really caught my eye. He drew me with my curly black hair flowing into water while I was starring at the sun with my hands in my pocket. It was absolutely beautiful. "Jayven these arw amazing" I praised him.

"You really think so" he smiled.

"This one's my favorite" I said while pointing to the picture.

"Then, it's yours" he said as he took the picture out his sketch book folded it up, then handed it to me so I could put it in my pocket. "So since I gave you such a beautiful picture, how about a date" he smirked.

"Well I guess it'd only be fair" I flirted.

We exchanged numbers then went out seperate ways. I turned the corner to go in the alley because it's the fastest way to my house, but of course trouble always brews in alleys.

"Oh hi Athena" I heard Micheals voice behind me which resulted in a groan of frustration escaping from my lips.

"Micheal what is it that you want" I asjed rubbing my temples due to the massive headache beginning to form.

"Well if you want to know, my boys can't come out the house and they've been kickedoff the basketball team because they were suspended and it's all because if you" he sneered.

'Breath Athena' I told myself. "Ya'know, you really shouldn't call them your bous because you seem a little suspect" I laughed but my laughter subsided when he caught hold of my throat but he wasn't choking me.

"Can't talk that shit now, can you Athena" he smirked.

"No, but I can sing" I smirked before I kneed him in his shin, poked him in his eye, bit his kneck extremely hard, and to finish it I punched him in the gut. When he fell to the ground I noticed Jayven standing in the back of Micheal in awe. I smirked then grabbed a marker from Jayven's pocket then wrote 'dumbass' on Micheals forehead.

"You...just knocked him..."

"I don't need you to walk me me home" I cut him off as I continued walking while he still stood there in awe. "Who's awsome, it's me... Who's awsome, it's me" I sang to myself all the way home. I even walked in my house singing.

"Shor top, what are you so happy about" Josh asked.

"I've got a date" I gloated.

"Oh who's the unfortunate soul" he teased. I rolled my eyes then gave him the be serious look. "Ok in all seriousness what's his name".

"His name is Jayven" I blushed and almowt immediately he started to choking on air.

"Tall, lightskin, green eyes, short brown hair" he described Jayven while still choking.

"Yeah, how do you know him" I asked.

"He's the captin of the Crossridge basketball team, my biggest rival" he yelled.

"He's the one that saved me from getting raped, Josh" I yelled back.

"Saved you or not, he's still a dick, you shouldn't trust him" he sighed.

"You think I'm willing to trust someone so easily, who do you have me mistaken me for. After what happened with Micheal the only men I trust is you and my father" I informed him with a small pat on his cheek then went to my room.

*Josh's POV*

When I got done talking with Athena, I went outside to make a call. "You son of a bitch you asked her out" I yelled.

"Maybe if you two weren't cousins you'd see how fine she is then you'd see why I asked her out" that dick chuckled

"So you only asked her out because of how pretty she is" I tsked.

"No I asked her out because I couldn't get her out my mind" he defended himself. 

"I don't care if you get insomnia because you can't stop thinking about her, don't talk to her" I commend.

"It's not that easy" he sighed.

"What's not easy" I shouted getting a irritated.

"This feeling, for some reason I just feel the need to protect her, I don't know what my problem" he explained with a soft chuckle.

"I know what your problem is" I gritted through my teeth.

"Oh yeah, so what is it" he sneered.

"You can't leave whats mine alone" I growled before hanging up, then went back in the house. "Athena" I called out.

"Yes" she answered.

"I'm going to Dylan Matthews party, I'll try to be back in two hours" I informed her.

"Ok I'll cover for you if mom comes home sober" she said. I went upstairs gave her a kiss on the forehead then left.

*Athena's POV*

Me: watching my favorite movie

Jay: what's your favorite movie

Me: Beauty and the Beast 

Jay: I really didn't take you for a girl who likes princess movies

Me: theres alot of things yoi don't know about me

Jay: a mysterious girl... I like

Me: are you going to Dylan Matthews party tonight

Jay: yeah, are you going

Me: no itsjust that whenever Josh is upset he tends to go wild

Jay: I will call you if he has more than three drinks"

Me: thx ttyl

I didn't talk to you later because I had to study or I was about to do something productive but because he was distracting me from the movie and I don't like people distracting me frommy favorite movie. Thirty minutes later my mom came in drunk, like every Friday night. "Alright mom hop on my back, lets go to your room" I sighed

"YAY, giddy up" she cheered as she got on my back.
