It was mere days after the freak ambush that completely destroyed the fortress defense zone, the one place that Team Whacko uses to overlook when danger big and small occurs in their area. To go back in time to explain what had happened, “Before the gang could properly bulge out their eyes and react, the bomb causes a GINORMOUS explosion, turning everything nook and cranny of the base into pieces of wood, bionic parts, and a few rubber ducks.” What also remains of the place are singed barrels, broken pieces of wood, shrapnel, a disembodied satellite dish, wrecked security bots, and weapons and body parts from the offending robots that attacked them. Whatever happened to the ever fabulous team? Why they’re alright. They’re just at home taking what happened as another ordinary failure, all except Ryan, who supposedly died in the explosion. Although the gang took everything lightly due to the robots’ explosion, Melody still has one question deep in thought.
“Friends, I can’t seem to find Ryan…” Melody ponders, “Where could he be?”
“Oh don’t get your skirt tied into your undies, Mel,” Jean-Luc casually states as he gently pats the worried bunny’s head, “I’m sure he’s probably been home, or is just at his job or something, I dunno what he does in his spare time. But I assure you that he’s FIIIINNNEEE~”
“W-well…. If you say so, sensei...” Melody gently agrees. The gang were in Julie’s lab testing out some new weapon experiments. Some weapons were similar to your standard laser gun or shotgun, while others were more ridiculous like the Sheep Bomb, the Fish Bazooka, and the Boa Constrictor Grappling hook. Jean-Luc jokingly ridicules his fruity scientist for using small animals as weapons to which Julie stuck her tongue out at him. Joey was playing around with the Boa Constrictor grappling hook, pushing it in and out of the gun, only for the snake to get mad and begin to wrap its body around Joey’s head then bite him, causing the poor boy’s head to swell in a purple hue, and then strangle him. Joey tries to get him off by beating its side with the butt of the gun, only for the constrictor to strangle him even further. Joey runs in panic, screaming while trying to get the crazy machine off of him.
“Note to self….” Julie begins as she writes in her notes, “Make the grappling hook Joey-proof…” Julie then calls to her boyfriend and states, “Just don’t break anything this time, ok?!” Meanwhile, Danny stood over another part of the laboratory, examining some of the collected base remains from the ambush. Some of the unsinged robot parts had a strange insignia engraved on the back on their heads. If made out carefully, these insignias could make out to be in the shape of either a wolf… or a weasel. Danny continually studies the wreckage while Julie continues yammering. Jean-Luc the fox notices, then walks over to him and asks, “Danny, you a’right? You’ve been staring at that stuff for a while now. Don’t you wanna come and test out this new stuff?”
“I would, but… it’s these strange symbols. They might be a clue to something…”
“Something we don’t know or can’t explain?”
“Exactly. Whatever these things mean MUST explain who sent those robots and-”
“HEY! Are you guys just gonna stand around twiddling each other’s thumbs with dead robot parts, or are you goin’ to fiddle the bangorank-nons…?” Julie called, noting on Jean-Luc and Danny’s inattention.
“Uhh….”
“I mean are you goin’ to help me or what?” Julie re-iterated. Much of the work she had put in was beginning to get to her head. Julie scratches her forehead and decidedly calls for a lunch break. The others happily looked at each other and agreed for some lunch. Even Joey, who including the boa constrictor still tied around his head, happily agreed for something to eat and began to follow the others back up to Julie’s living room. Unbeknownst to the gang, the small collection of robot parts that Danny examined weren’t as dead as Julie had believed. Somehow, the remains of two mechanical arms, a leg, a glowing red chest piece in the shape of a heart, and a robot head began to shake and come to life. These parts then began to scatter around in a panic, searching around for what remains of their bodies. It wasn’t until the parts crashed into each other when one of the robot hands began to think. The robot head look at the hands then proceeded to play a recording of its’ master’s mission.
“Find the Whackos’ base of operation and siphon them of their secret files and sabotage ANY kind machinery there in any means necessary,” the voice recording commanded, “EVEN IF YOU GET DESTROYED TO PIECES!” The recording stopped, and the glowing red piece began to scan the area. The miscellaneous robot parts stupidly sit there playing cards while the chest piece was doing all of the work. The chest piece diligently looked around the deepest parts of the lab in order to find out where they were until it turned the corner and found 100% Julie’s super computer. If it could have eyes, the chest piece looked up in awe at the ginormous super computer. The chest piece immediately bounced over to the on button and turned the big machine on. The super computer was HUGE, and could tell of situations happening in the area, had files of Julie’s various secret experiments, plans, pictures of her friends and family, and some deep and juicy personal journals. The chest piece “whistled” the others, and they immediately dropped their game and headed over to the computer. The mechanical pieces get amazed by the fact of all of the juicy details. The chest piece then conjured an idea, and ordered the hands and leg to plug in the robot head, and steal the various files from the computer and download them to the robot’s head. All of the details were installed into the robot, from future plans, blueprints to the various security systems around the laboratory, to even Julie’s deep dark personal secrets, some of which made the robot head chuckle suggestively. Once all of the files were 100% downloaded, the super computer beeped to indicate that no files are around and then automatically shut down. The miscellaneous robot parts then unplugged from the device and headed for the exit, passing through the deep neck of the lab until one of the hands took a glance at a secret room. The hands then snap their fingers, calling the others over and peered at a door that hid a giant room inside. The giant room itself was pure white, almost even blinding. The mechanic misplaced machinery, the various tools scattered across the floor, and packs of open gelatin spread across the table. The miscellaneous robot parts begin to explore the room until the robot head bumps into a sort of white wall. The wall was fluffy and soft similar to a warm blanket, but it wasn’t long until the others noticed and then began to feel the soft cushy feeling of the wall. As everyone took the time to rub against the wall, the hands began to grab more and more of the wall until they accidentally pull it down like a giant blanket. Before the others could get angry at Hands, they suddenly caught a glimpse of a giant, shiny….. Blender? At least, that’s what it looked like to the robot parts. However, there was an on switch located at the top side, a mix of chemicals floating inside a small orb located at the front of the machine, and an open slot. The robot head examined the area and saw the excess Jell-O sprawled across Julie’s work desk, and an enlarge-o-ray as well. A lightbulb popped above the robot’s head as he signaled the others to grab the Jell-O and the ray gun. The other robot parts began to see the head’s crazy scheme and easily followed suit. Then on, clangs and shuffles and bangs and whirs were heard as the robot pieces got to work.
Meanwhile, Jean-Luc and his friends were at their local malt shop having some root beer floats and other delicacies as well. Mary-Kay, the store’s owner came over to the gang’s table with a tray of sandwiches and salads and served them. As Mary-Kay served the gang their food, she noticed that someone was missing.
“Hey you guys, where’s our little suave friend, Ryan? He’s usually cracking up jokes with you guys.” Melody looked at her and tried to tell her that he went missing, but she began to stutter as her words fell atop one another. Jean-Luc swallowed some of his food then calmly explained, “We got into some trouble a few days again and Ryan went missing. He probably went to work or something, but we’ll let you know when he’s back. Mary-Kay sighed in relief and replied, “He’d better be ok. Ryan still owes me a poker game and promised to play on Friday.”
“A poker game, eh? Mind if we maybe join on that Friday?” Danny asked.
“Trust me, hon,” Mary-Kay explained, “It ain’t your natural poker game.” She gave a quick wink then walked back to the counter, leaving the others to wonder what she meant, though, Jean-Luc had a certain thought, but chose to pass it off as nothing. He continued to eat his meal while Joey sipped some of his soda without the fox noticing. The gang enjoyed their peaceful meal, but was then immediately interrupted when a man covered in a green goop yelling, “IT’S COMING!! IT’S COMING!!!” The man continued to flail his as he swung the green goop all over the place, scaring and angering the malt shop patrons.
“Hey, man! You’re spilling unwanted gunk all over my customers!” Mary-Kay shouted. The goopy man ran over to her and acted as if he was speaking in tongues, when really, his words were falling all over each other.
“You should have SEEN it. It-it-it-it was BIG! And-And It had HUUUGE, gaudy ARMS, and a robot head, legs, and other extreme things, while its goop just covered and trapped people in this-this-this, STICKY SLIME!!!” The scared, crazy man continued to go on and on about the problem until Jean-Luc walked over to him and tapped the man’s shoulder. The crazy, slimed man look at him while shuddering. The fox gently calmed him down and told him that they could solve the problem. The crazy man then grabbed Jean-Luc very tightly, unknowingly getting the fox’s fur all sticky and causing the man to be stuck to the fox as well.
“Ok guys, it looks like we’re back to work,” Jean-Luc explained while nonchalantly still having the sticky man stuck to his fur.
“Aww….” Joey childishly moaned, not being able to finish his food.
“What do we got, boss?” Danny questioned.
“Apparently we got this…” Jean-Luc began then looked at the sticky man to reassurance, “Slime Monster, you said?” The sticky man shook his head slowly in response. The fox then continued, “Slime Monster.” Jean-Luc then used his free hand and casually pulled the sticky man off of him despite half of his fur getting ripped off. Jean-Luc then looks at the slime monster and asked, “Okay, mister. Where’s the last place you’ve seen this slime monster-thing?” Before the scared, little man could answer, a collection of citizens ran past the malt shop, screaming as loud as they could while a large, green “wall” slid past the building, crushing some of the ground-level items of the city along the way. All of the patrons stared out the windows with huge bug-eyes, in disbelief in what they saw.
