Anyway. What happened to them? Is it because they failed in guarding their territory? So basically the whole system is in total disarray with families not having things under control. Hm. I would not be surprised if that is a part of someone's (Seth?) goal to seize power after the demons are defeated. Could work, really.
Things would be better without the whole system anyway......
