Chimney's real name is Chelsea Rodriguez but she dyed her hair gray/silver and the boys think they're funny.
Also underage drinking isn't cool. I definitely don't approve of my characters doing it.
This episode was first posted on 10/10/2017. A redraw was posted on 2/6/19. The redraw has clearer lines, a background, and a few key changes. In the original, Chimney had relaxed hair, but I later decided that (other than the color) I wanted to try my best to honor natural hair styles. While many women of color choose to have relaxed hairstyles and I believe that should be supported, I, as a white person, felt that the decision to have Chimney's hair relaxed lacked cultural understanding and was, predominately, a lazy decision. Which is to say: there is a big difference between a POC deciding to relax their hair and a white person deciding a character of color should have relaxed hair. The other key differences in this comic are that Kyle is the one who brings Ryan his drink (as a continuation from the redraw decisions I made for the earlier episodes) and Kyle is the one who points out that Chimney is looking for Nick.
You can see both the original post and the redraw on my artist page on facebook ZoeytheKat Art.
Kyle Williams always tried to do what his parents expected of him. He studied, he worked, he went to church. But then, during his senior year of high school, he realized that he was in love with one of his friends. That in and of itself would defy his parents' rules and expectations. Here's what happened next...
