Personality of a razor blade. If a razor blade was just, like, a concerned puppy who tends to grimace a lot.
This episode was first posted on 10/14/17. A redraw was posted on 5/6/19. The redraw has clearer lines, a background, and a few key differences. What was originally just a block of text became a panel with text depicting Kyle following Ryan up to the roof. The "reasons" Kyle lists are updated. Originally they were:
1. No one knows for sure but we all suspect he was dating Travis Kincaid last year.
2. And I am nothing like Travis Kincaid.
3. He is kind of...intimidating. We've been friends for three years and I'm still not sure how to talk to him.
4. He has the personality of a razor blade.
The sentiment of these reasons are carried through in the updated version, but they are reordered and revised to allow for Kyle's fear of his parents' homophobia to be addressed earlier in the series.
Also, the line "Oh sh. Am I drunk?" was turned into "Oh. Sh. I don't feel so good," and the line "Oh, man, Kyle? Are you okay?" became "Woah, hey, Kyle, are you okay?"
Both the original and the updated version of this comic can be seen (for the sake of side by side comparison) on my Facebook Page "ZoeytheKat Art."
Kyle Williams always tried to do what his parents expected of him. He studied, he worked, he went to church. But then, during his senior year of high school, he realized that he was in love with one of his friends. That in and of itself would defy his parents' rules and expectations. Here's what happened next...
