MMO Guilds are pretty interesting, in that they encourage dictatorship rather than democracy. At times, the Guild Master will allow for some democracy, like rolling for items. Could this be considered a democratic monarchy?

Most guilds I was in, ((Eden Eternal, FF11, FF13 and a few others)) Usually supported a ruling council of seven or nine. Each with a specific job. Anyone else was basically a well rewarded resource slave.... o_o.... I was usually the group safe and auction house manager..... Its hard not to want to go nuts with all that in-game cash.
