In the sentence "If you only let me some time to explain..." the word "let" should probably be "give" or change it to "If you'll just give me some time to explain..." or "If you'll just let me explain..."
Currently you're mixing the two common phrases "will just let me explain" and "give me time to explain" and it ends up sounding awkward.
