So, like, discipline's a tricky thing. Kyle's parents' reasons and methodology are problematic because they're goal is to exert power/authority rather than to help him learn from his mistakes or aid in his development. Also, their punishments deprive him of privacy or cause him to feel intrinsic shame. Anyway, I'm just saying: Ryan isn't being unreasonable by thinking Kyle would be better off somewhere else.
