Hello again, everyone!
Results have come in for the Action Fantasy Tourney public voting portion of the contest and unfortunately I didn't make it to the last round of judging, but frankly I would have been astonished had I managed that with how small my audience and socmed presence is, so it's also not unexpected. Getting through the first round is achievement enough by my metrics, and on the super plus side of losing I'm now fully free of the terrible specters of Marketing, Deadlines, and Strict Word Counts.
But what does this mean for ANIMA REX? I'm continuing it, of course, and the reason I haven't been putting out new chapters between contest phases is because I want to make substantial edits to what I have out at the moment! Not to get too deep into the weeds of my personal life, but the later chapters were written while I was weathering some hefty misfortunes and I want to do them over almost entirely, as well as change up some of the lore and character backgrounds. Consider what's up of it now as the beta version, I guess. I can't give exact time frames for the revamp, but it shouldn't be too long after the holidays before I start things up again.
Also....I have another story in the planning stages 👀👀👀. It'll be very loosely connected to ANIMA REX, but with a different cast and in a very different country. Double fisting projects should be fun, I've never attempted it before! We'll see how it goes.
