SupportBrazilian artist from Rio, Kris has illustrated many books for publishers and authors in Brazil and the US, as well as given talks and workshops around the world about comics and illustration.
In the fall of 2014, he released his webcomic, Torta de Climão, a series of comic strips portraying a group of friends immersed in the Brazilian LGBT culture, which had his first book published in 2015. His work has gathered thousands of fans in Brazil, for which he won the Brazilian Diversity Awards for "Best new thing in 2015" from the LGBT community.

NEW LGBTQ PROJECT ALERT! AND IT NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Wouldn't it be great to have an animated series with a Drag Queen superhero? That also tackles subjects such as sexuality and gender? That is also funny? Here is your chance to actually MAKE that happen instead of waiting for big studios to do it!
Krisa Gonna Super Drag is originally a monthly series of comic strips created by Kris Barz Mendonça for the Matthew Shepard Foundation. Krisa Gonna is Kris' drag alter ego in which he performs and posts videos online talking about multiple subjects.(link to read the strips and watch her videos in the end).
This fundraiser has 2 possible goals and the number of episodes produced will depend on which goal is achieved. If we reach $1300, we'll have 4 episodes of 30 to 90 seconds each. If we get to $2250, we'll have enough money to produce 8 episodes30 to 90 seconds each. If we go way above this, we can expand the project to either more short episodes for a 2nd season or longer 8 episodes. For every amount donated you will get a reward*, check these out!
- $1 to $10 Your name credited at the end of the episode!
- $20 Previous reward + shout out by Krisa Gonna on the episode intro!
- $50 Previous rewards + A cartoon-style portrait of you illustrated by me!
- $75 Previous rewards + A Nameoscope podcast episode made with your name!
- $100 Previous rewards + You get to voice over a one-time-appearance character!
- $150 Previous rewards + the character you voice over character will look like you!
By donating, you will also support non-white LGBTQ/allies artists and businesses involved in the production.
