I'm a wife, mother, and romance writer who grew up in small-town Indiana. I studied psychology in college and worked off and on in mental health over the years. I now reside in the suburbs of Dallas with my husband and our two sons.
When not spinning tales of romance and fantasy, I can often be found with my nose buried in a book. I also love going for walks with my youngest son and taking Zumba classes. One of my stories, Bound to the Elvin King, won Ind'Tale's 2015 RONE award for best Sci-Fi/Fantasy.

I have a few updates for you!
For those of you who were readers of The Fae Lord's Mistress, I'm so sorry to have dropped the ball. I know it's been forever since it's been updated. I don't blame anyone from deciding not to continue on with the story.
But if you would like to, the upside? The story is now completely written, and the chapters are with Tapas' editors! The downside? I don't know when they'll get around to editing and posting them.
However, I've been working on and posting a free fantasy romance called Claiming Lord Thuran. So check it out!
If you enjoy any of my stories, please think about recommending them for the Community Pick. That really helps with exposure and gaining new readers. Getting on Tapas' main page is like hitting reader gold :)

For anyone currently reading Bound by the Mist, it is posted up in its entirety. However, I plan to delete the story next week--Monday most likely. So if you're reading the story and would like to finish it, I thought I'd give you guys a heads-up :)
Also for those of you waiting on The Sidhe Lord's Mistress... Revisions are getting close to being done! Finally, you say! I know. *Hangs head*

Hello Dear Readers,
Yet again, I need to apologize. The Sidhe Lord's Mistress isn't abandoned, I promise! I'm still revising it and was hoping to continue updates with new chapters/episodes while doing so. But I'm finding as I revise that things are changing just enough that it's making those new chapters obsolete. I'm thankful to everyone who has stuck it out with me and will consider myself fortunate if you continue to do so. I know it's probably sorely trying your patience. My slowness is certainly trying my own!
Off I go to revise!

I hope everyone had a great New Year's! I drove to Indiana with my youngest to see my parents over Christmas. That's a 15-hour drive! I didn't attempt that all in one day, lol. Instead, I broke it up over two.
I need to offer up a big apology to those of you who are reading TSLM. I didn't follow through with what I said in my last wall post. So sorry about that :( Besides waning motivation to write, the holidays consumed a large portion of my time, along with real-life, well, life.
I do plan to work on my new chapters, where I will include Gabreon's POV. I realize that might be a jarring change for some readers, but I also feel it's counterproductive to keep writing chapters that will have to be revised to include his POV. I just hope that too much won't change as I continue to revise my previous chapters. I'm trying to prevent that as much as possible, while still deepening the story where it needs more fleshing out.
Thanks for your patience! I understand that my lack of updates probably lost me quite a few readers, and I certainly can't blame them for that. There's nothing more disappointing than waiting for chapters that never arrive.
Here's to a new year! I plan to get out of my writing funk and turn out some great chapters.

Hi all!
I know I've been lax about updating my free reads. I'll work on getting more episodes up for Bound to the Elvin King. Also, my Premium story, The Sidhe Lord's Mistress, hasn't been updated for two months now. I've been stuck on what to do with that story, as I've wanted to go back and weave in Gabreon's PoV.
I'm aware he's a very dislikeable character at the start of the story and for a long time after. Adding in his PoV might not change that, but his actions wouldn't seem to occur in a such a vacuum. We'd have insight why he acts the way he does--not saying it would justisfy his behavior, just give us insight into him a bit more.
But in going back, I see other things that I need to change/flesh out. Chris, a dedicated reader of mine, is helping me better flesh out the story and is doing an excellent job as an editor. Unfortunately, it's taking me longer than expected to iron out everything. I'm a slow writer to begin with, so all this has slowed down the process even more (of getting new episodes out).
So I've decided to pick up where I left off and continue the story. It's not fair to you, the reader, to leave you hanging for so long while I decide just what I'm doing. When I finish revising the previous chapters, I'll let you know. I'm not sure if Tapas will want to update all those previous episodes, but I'm sure I can somehow get the new, improved chapters to you all somehow, if you want them.
Thank you for all your support and for bearing with me! I know it's not enjoyable when a writer stops updating the stories you were engrossed in (I've been there myself)!

The Sidhe Lord's Mistress episodes are late this week! So sorry! I had a contest entry to finish up last week and had to write nearly 20,000 words in that timespan. Couple that with unpacking from a move, and I just couldn't pull off writing TSLM's episodes. But I'm on it tonight. Hopefully, the two episodes will be up in a few days. Thanks for your patience :)
