It's officially been 2 years since I joined Tapas. It does NOT feel like it. This also means it's been over a year since I started writing and uploading Wrong Hearts. The end is so close, though. I deeply appreciate the 2 readers who have stuck with it thus far. You are brave, dedicated, and heroic. I swear by Arius's temper that I will NOT go so crazy with the next project. ✋😐
The first episode of my new work, Wrong Hearts, will be uploaded THIS FRIDAY! (The first 10 episodes will be uploaded by Xmas!) If you enjoyed my last work, In Love with a Boy of the Streets, I would love it if you joined me for my next endeavor! That being said, I am returning with a slightly different storytelling mechanism. I would be happy to answer any questions, concerns, or comments, and below is the summary.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Popular, smart, high-achieving, and charming, everything comes easily to Gabriel Aiersah. There’s only one thing that doesn’t: his foster brother, Arius. Quiet, stubborn, beautiful, and saddled with a crippling combination of rare medical complications, the half-Asian brother Gabriel grew up with is a relationship he stubbornly simplifies with one word: normal. With his conservative mother watching and his whole little universe convinced he’s not gay, Gabriel is about to be blindsided with how far from normal his world truly is.
The facility trusted with Arius’s medical care makes a fatal error in his medication. After reversing a lethal overdose in a dangerously slim timeframe, Gabriel becomes convinced this “mistake” was no accident. Beginning to doubt the goodwill of the research institution that has managed Arius’s health for over a decade, Gabriel suddenly finds himself trusting no one with his foster brother’s wellbeing. Even Arius’s seemingly innocent pre-foster background and his connection to Arouras Labs begin to sound like fabrications. Watching as elements of his old world are stripped away, Gabriel gradually comes to understand the terrifying truth of his family’s reality and his own forbidden emotions. As lifelong lies begin to unravel, not even Arius’s medical conditions are as transparent as they seem.
