Hello, my name's Min-Sung Noh, but I'm better known by my pen name, Mr. Nohman.
I graduated Seoul Arts High School in 2006, then spent the next 5 years as an art teacher. I'm currently majoring in Graphic Design and am about to enter my senior year of college.
My biggest influences would have to be Neil Gaiman and Frank Miller. Both "Sandman" and "Sin City" have played a major role in how I write and draw webcomics. I love Gaiman's writing, and I tried to emulate the flavor of his short stories in my earlier career as a webcomic artist (I have another series called Black Fairytale). I think most people that read Homesick will be able to tell that I'm a fan of Miller's art. Haha.
In terms of my own work, I prefer traditional mediums over digital art. There's something sincere about pencil and brush that can't seem to replicated on a tablet. It takes me about three days to finish an episode of Homesick. I pencil it first, then go in with inks, water color and some color pencils. After, I'll add the word balloons and sound effects with a computer.
Hey Mr. Nohman. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed reading Homesick and MED. I truly believe that MED is one of the best written stories I've ever read. I'm kind of sad that it's not free to read anymore, as it's harder to recommend to other people, but I understand that everyone needs to make money, and webcomic artists are no different. Regardless, hope you're doing well, and can't wait to see what you do in the future. :)
Hi, i was just wandering if it's only me or MED is officially gone? I had the comic subscribed and now it' visible here (but blocked) and not visible in any other place.
Hi mr, im still wondering,... is the love potion and hercules potion is just your experiment? I mean why do you even bother making them? instead just straight up making happy zombie, well anyway nice story btw, its simple, realistic, straightforward yet intriguing.
