Still deciding if I want to publish books anymore, in the mean time I uploaded an art journaling experiment I was working on. Retro Heliographs is the illustrated version of a web novel I wrote a while ago.
I've recently had my eBooks blocked on the that big river site. I've responded back but even my approved eBooks don't show up. Losing access to largest bookseller in the world is a bit depressing, but at least I can still post my webtoons.
I'll be in the artist alley at QFXEast this month in Tampa this month. I'm still trying to figure things out with Songbirds. I had to fix my AC so that took a lot of my budget, but I will hire an artist eventually.
After an editing review, there is a lot to fix with Songbirds.
1. Confusing storyline.
2. Characters are bland.
3. Dialogue is unrealistic.
4. Artwork not distinct.
So I'll be focused on fixing the story issues for now. Hopefully I'll be able to hire a full-time editor, but the feedback was very helpful. My ego will recover someday😆
Though it will cost a lot more money, I will have the artist redraw the old pages so the story has a consistent and better look. I also have to pay for an editor, which will drive up the cost more. But I want the stories to be told properly so it's worth it.
