Rickety Stitch and the Gelatinous Goo is written by Ben Costa and James Parks, with art by Ben. The two have been friends since the 2nd grade, and their first foray into cartooning involved crude crayon depictions of a well-known webslinger on construction paper. The pattern of collaboration continued through high school and college, leading inevitably to this tale.
Inspired by more creators than can easily be counted, Ben and James are die hard fans of: Stan Sakai, Jeff Smith, Paul Chadwick, Mike Mignola, Matt Wagner, Jim Henson, Brian Froud, Robert E. Howard, J.R.R. Tolkien, and the laughter of Ed Wynn.
