Meet Mortdecai, another OC of mine. He is one of the main characters in my comic, along with Sue. Although the comic idea is still at its early stages, I have tons of ideas just waiting to be explored and fully fleshed out. Can't wait to start sketching out the story map!
I recently splurged and bought myself a tablet for my birthday! Little did I realize how challenging it would be to use it! @_@ It's going to take a while before I get used to it, but I'm already sort of getting the feel of it, little by little! Here's a silly little doodle I did on it. Can you guess what my favorite fruit is? XD
Meet Sue, an OC I created. I've been having this plot/story/comic bunny running around in my head these past couple of weeks. But I have a looooong way to go before I feel ready to even do a rough sketch of the story... TT^TT
Once again, the hands took the longest. You can tell how much trouble I had with them, since they look a little strange lol! I think I'm getting slightly better at side profiles, though, so that's a plus! :D

Jesus, this took 2 days to finish.....TT^TT I'm hoping that I'll get more confident and quicker with time. But, I'm satisfied overall with how this one turned out. The hands took less time, too! Maybe because they weren't in any complicated positions hahaha....ha..... I also realized a little too late that the reference pic shows the girl on a couch....not on a bed like I'd originally thought. I didn't feel like erasing the progress I'd made and starting over, so I just kept it as a bed instead. :P

Her smile and subtle beauty caught my attention. I like how, despite having very little or no make-up, she still looks stunning (or maybe it's because the picture is black and white.....lol!). Either way, I thought this would be a good opportunity to practice shading and drawing folds in clothes. I badly needed to practice sketching hands, too, so there's that. The hands definitely killed me. They took FOREVER to draw.... TT^TT
