Behind as usual in getting issue 2 up here on Tapastic.

Meanwhile, here is some art from issue 3.

Werwolves, Zeppelins and the Foreign Legion, just a few of the threats Sister Mercy faces in the next issue of “Mercy is Just My Name.”

Lots of action in this one using Magna Studio and Cinema 4D.

Any help with spreading the word about it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

UPDATE
Episode 19 was the last of issue 1. Issue 2 will appear here on Tapastic and DevArt as soon as I get issue 3 done.

If you can’t wait, Issue 2 is available on Comixology (99¢) viewable on all devices and a motion version with animation, music and sound effects ($1.99) is available on the Madefire app for iPad, Android Tablets, Windows Tablets and Apple TV. Go to mercyisjustmyname.com for more info. Hope you’ve enjoyed the strip so far.

Hoping issue 3 will appear on Comixology and Madefire in Sept. I think it is a big improvement over the first 2.

Here’s a breakdown of the 6-issue series:

Issue 2: Soul in Iron (concluded). Dubois’ backstory set in the Louisiana swamps and battlefields of the Civil War. Introduction of a major villain, Juliette Marsh.

Issue 3: Wolfshead. Pet’s backstory set in the badlands. The return of Professor Cruor and the “Wolf.”

Issue 4-5: Orphan of the Plains. Introduction of previously referenced character, Dr. Henry. Mercy’s backstory set in the great plains and Arkham, Massachusetts.

Issue 6: The Crawling Chaos. Introduction of the character, Nate Love. The return of Juliette Marsh (and others) for a showdown of apocalyptic proportions on the shores of the Sea of Cortez.

So: Civil War battles, werewolves, zombies, vengeful ghosts, steam-powered robots, airships, train crashes, Lovecraftian apocalypse, showdowns, love triangles and lots of revenge! Stay tuned…

Just a note on process: These images started life as a horizontal motion book pages, a bit o work to port them to a large font vertical format. Starting to get the hang of it. Main problem is that viewers will still be looking on this on a variety of screens (phone, tablet, laptop, desktop), so you can only optimize so much for a small screen. Here's the original and in the next post I’ll show the revised.
