Arden Valko is a magician in training. Running from the dark and secret past they meet Elnar, an excourt magician and now bar owner who takes her in from the life of a street urchin.

Arden is a shitty wizard, they excel at shapeshifting magic and can transform into more than one animal, which is extremely uncommon.

But in due time, and unfortunate circumstances, she finds herself accidentally binding herself to the notorious demon Adriel, once a creature to be feared of, but is currently living in the mortal world on the run, keeping his own secrets. The two are physically bound and cannot be more than 50 feet apart from each other, making day to day life difficult for the both of them….

Now the two must live together and find a way to undo the ritual, will the two of them continue to butt heads? Or will they see past their differences and become friends, or perhaps more?

“Bonds” is a modern magic story with themes that explore the complex situation that is gender, along with how the bonds of friendship and love can overpower anything and everything.
