Fate is the dictator of all mortal lives; from birth to death, all choices are predestined.
Despite the chaos of the world, order is maintained, woven by the will of the gods.

Corvina is an oracle, able to see the death of all she witnesses, including herself. Venture possesses supernatural luck, exploiting it to chase praise and heroism. Oliver is also there.

The three of them are fated to die together. Only one can see their inevitable end, but says nothing.

The world remains scarred by a previous golden age, where warring demigods plunged the lands into destruction. However, in spite of lingering curses, kingdoms have been rebuilt. Life endures.

Though a vast portion of the continent remains corrupted and uninhabitable, the horror of the past seems like a distant memory. Order is carefully upheld through the efforts of gods and mortals, both determined to maintain the divide between them.

The course of fate remains unbroken. No demigod has been seen for hundreds of years. Death is unavoidable. The world is kept safe from chaos, and everything is as it should be.
