In the City of Vagrants where the lower class live in constant fear of an innate virus which may transform any of them at any time into bloodthirsty destructive monsters, and nigh immortal nobles who change bodies at will rule over them, and a church who may possibly help or hinder both with their own machinations in play.

300 years after the 1000 year war, in the City of Vagrants, where the citizens of the colonies live in constant fear of Ugu, bloodthirsty creatures that invade the colonies, kidnap and eat people.

Four factions rule, nigh immortal nobles who change bodies, the religious Order who have their own machinations in play, the Authority, who are the acting security body, and the Hunters, otherwise known as Cthlon, a group of hunters dedicated to hunting the ugu. The colonies and indeed the planet itself is watched over by RHI, the omnipresent A.I. system for the colonies.
