If I were crowned a princess,
I would ask myself how this came to be!
I would scream and cry and dance for joy.
I would wonder if it would be different had I been born a boy.
And say, "Why me?"
In this land of reality,
We cling to myth and legend.
Yet there are stories that are never mentioned
There are tales that go unsung.
And if I were a princess...
I'd make the legends come to life,
I'd eradicate poverty, toil and strife!
I'd be the person who I want to be.
And I'd still wonder, is this who I'm meant to be?
I'm already blessed with so many gifts,
I already possess so much, living in a land of security,
Having a family that loves me,
So if were I a princess,
Would my mom be a queen and my dad a king,
Because without them, I'm
Nothing.
And without the common people, a king and queen as well are nothing.
If I were a princess there would be many lessons to learn and responsibilities.
