Life is not going as expected for Verokke Tudmig. She’s trying to be the first female dwarf to make it in Battle League, the super popular—and competitive—pro fighting circuit, but can’t quite get there…or keep a job. On top of that, her semi-secret romance with longtime friend Derik Rockskull isn’t exactly flourishing over long distance. But when she gets a sudden offer to work with the insufferably attractive Ray Vaughan, Verokke must decide what she’s willing to sacrifice for certain stardom.
