Gideon wasn't always very interested in Draugar and Chimeras, not until one of the pests put his Dad in a wheelchair. Forced to support his family, Gideon throws away his hopes of becoming an illustrator and joins the Royal Military. Just as he's beginning to make ends meet, everyone is thrown into a daze by the sudden appearance of strangers and the abductions of some of the townspeople, including himself.
