A female saiyan? Come on, we've all seen at least one of those in a fan made series, they're over sexualized usually, and overpowered. What makes this manga any different?
Let me tell you...
This fan made manga known as "DBZ: Spirit of the Gods" follows the anime persona of the writer, Krista, as she visits Earth in order to complete a task given to her by her adopted family. Velia, the star of the show, is a female saiyan who has been sent to Earth to destroy one person and ruin their life - the cost of saving the entire universe.
Velia struggles with past failures, often giving her night terrors unexpectedly. She hardly sleeps, and spends most of her nights wandering about, pacing for hours. A fatal mistake leads to something unimaginable, but what could that be?
Though this story takes place after "DBZ: Battle of Gods," the name similarities are pure coincidence, as my manga has been in progress since late 2011. Velia was created originally as a mate for Vegeta (hence her name, Vel-ee-uh and Veh-gee-tuh) but her potential skyrocketed around 2012. This character is basically a representation of the author, myself, if I were to be shoved into the Dragon Ball world.
