"He was a scarlet torrent, and the scarlet turned into a creature of flesh. From his flesh came his limbs, and his limbs became tools of creation. From his hands came the earth, from the earth came the trees; from his breath came the wind, from the wind came the birds; from his saliva came the sea, from the sea came the fish; from his fingers were forged the churches, and the churches became refuges; from his blood came Od and El; from Od came discord, and from El came unity; from their father’s words came theirs, and from theirs came the sins."

There was a time when the world was nothing but a scarlet torrent. There were no trees, no sea, no sky for many decades. From nothing came Rodel, the miserable and loving god, who offered the void a whole. He gave life to death and granted freedom to his blood. His first children were baptized in his name—"Od" and "El". Born each from a single drop of Rodel's blood, they were sent to watch over his other creations, but as time passed, the blood he had so kindly offered transformed into something terrible and dark.

Od cried out, raged, and awakened creations that Rodel had painstakingly hidden from all eyes. Od created discord through the creation of his father, and El, who remained grateful to him, defied his brother. It is said that they fought each other for endless days, coloring the sky, the sea, and the earth with their spilled blood. From those multitude of drops, other children of Rodel were born. The blood of Rodel flowing through Od's veins became impious and cursed when he murdered El, spilling every last drop of his blood.

Rodel, the miserable and loving god, punished his first child and abandoned his creations, repulsed by what he had ultimately brought into being.

"He was a brown land, and the brown land turned into a land of Blood and entrails. From the entrails came chaos and nightmare, and from these two came fear and sorrow. From sorrow came the battles, from battles came the mistakes; from fear came anguish, and from anguish came the mistakes."
