In the distant future, the chore of mining has been quickly converted into an intergalactic enterprise, each company hiring the finest engineers and pilots across the vastness of the known cosmos. The dangers, while ever present and looming, hardly deter the brave souls willing to risk life and limb for the infinite wealth of a few successful hauls. Daniel Riven, one of such souls, learns these risks the hard way, as he awakens from a drunken sleep to find that he has crash-landed on one of the most inhospitable planets in the galaxy: Epsilon21. After a very brief investigation, he finds that there is no method of off-planet transportation, and the planet is scheduled for a massive mining operation that will threaten its very stability, starting a frantic race to get out before doomsday arrives. The clock is ticking...
