Kian Montereal believes that when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. He's gone through so much in a short amount of time that the only thing he thinks of doing is to move forward and start anew. Surely nothing worse is going to happen now that the universe is done throwing knives at him, right?

Wrong.

Smart, sexy, and confident, Xavier Mallory is everything Kian isn't. He is the editor-in-chief of Stargaze, who also happens to be the guy Kian mistook for his hookup. It's a fond memory for Kian, but it seems as if his new boss has completely wiped that eventful night from his mind because of how cold and unfeeling Xavier is treating him.

That is until Xavier asks Kian to be his fake boyfriend. They strike up a deal, knowing that both of them are in need of a date for several big events. When all of these are finally done, they can go back to their lives as if nothing ever happened.

Pretending that nothing ever happened is easier said than done, though. As with all fake dating stories go, someone falls in love. Someone gets hurt. And someone wonders if any of this could be a reality.
