When the sons of the village blacksmith turn 18, they are tasked with slaying a dragon. Fletcher's three older brothers have completed this task before him. Now it is Fletcher's turn. But when this seemingly straightforward task proves to be more difficult for Fletcher than his brothers, he is met with a choice between whether to give up all he's ever known for his own beliefs or to continue this cycle of violence and hurt the people he loves the most.
