Description
Since before written history, a small number of individuals have had a "gift": The ability to tap into the magic of humanity's collective unconscious. For millennia they have struggled against a dark demonic force that lurks just outside of human awareness. Now, follow Hibiki: a seemingly average Japanese college student, as her life is uprooted and she is forced to confront the darkness that most of us spend our lives trying to pretend isn't really there.
Heroes Don't Exist is an atypical magical-girl story about the sometimes-sudden realization that a lot of life's magic has disappeared since you've become an adult. It deals with some of the more difficult topics in life. Things like feeling socially isolated in a permanently interconnected world, and the helpless feeling associated with realizing there's not much you can do to help someone you love.
