I used to work in animation, mostly on TV shows like Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs, Johnny Bravo, and of course Doug (pre-Disney) but nowadays I mostly teach animation as most TV animation these days is animated by computer and I just love to draw. After doing a couple short animated films of my own I turned to comic strips, two of which you can find here on Tapas.
One of my students informed me of this venue, where one can actually make money and get support and feedback from readers. After doing my strip, Keinani and Mo'O for over a year now I've earned...well, almost enough to buy a new pair of shoes! But it's not the money that keeps me going, it's my love of drawing mostly, but it's also the enthusiasm and support from readers (plus getting to read cool strips by other artists) that motivates me . Maybe this strip will one day gain such a vast readership that I can hire a colorist for it and do animations ect ect... maybe not.
Whatever happens, thank you all!
