Lord Hylam Langley, A Commissioned officer for the king, follows a strict regiment of the king's justice. Sierra-Star recently started rounding up troublemakers in town, which wouldn't be a problem normally, but it seems Sierra might be affiliated with the Rebel Army. Lord Hylam strives to discover her connection to the Rebel Army.
In the city of Syaso, a city made “perfect” by nobility, Lord Hylam Langley is one of the King’s most elite soldiers who is seeking to rid the streets of violence and disorder, notoriously incorruptible in his pursuits for justice, yet carrying out his duties benevolence; however, an encounter with a strange young girl, Sierra-star, a rebel and vigilante, throws off Hylam’s sense of order. As a woman who can blend in with the miscreants of the underworld, she capable of cleaning up the streets better than Hylam ever could, which wouldn’t be an issue if not for her status as a rebel, and it is because of her status that Hylam must capture Sierra in order to keep the King’s justice. As she catches criminals and all but dropped them on Hylam’s doorstep, allowing him to take all the credit, she is proving to be both helpful and entirely mysterious, never revealing herself to him which means that she is constantly eluding capture. However, while Hylam is making the search and arrest of Sierra his number one priority, he begins to realize that she is leading him to a government conspiracy: someone from the Divine Council has entered the underworld and started their own criminal enterprise, and Hylam needs to quickly find out who and why before the kingdom becomes completely controlled by the shadows.
