Most successful supers have a nemesis of some kind—their other half that’s theirs, and theirs alone. Recently graduated supervillain River Ng wants nothing more than to make it big on the first day, but the tentative plan goes off rails when they hack into famous android superhero, The Sentinel in a mutually traumatic encounter. The Sentinel declares River unfit as a nemesis; and River after mulling on it, can’t believe the absolute nerve.

Except...the Sentinel then proceeds to keep popping up at all of River’s assigned zones while on duty and at their apartment too. They keep talking, advising, comforting and needing River too; and maybe River overextends as well, beyond the scope of professionalism. Maybe this isn’t about the job. Maybe whatever this is, it’s not so black-and-white. But whatever it is, it’s not just River’s call to make.
