That was the one question going round Felix’s head the night he watched his own brother kill their parents and become carrion, a person who gains superhuman abilities in return for taking a life.
Years later, he is approached by the BIRDS (Bureau for the Investigation, Resistance, and Detention of the Supernatural) with a job offer. There has been a string of recent murders, all thought to be perpetrated by his brother, and they want his help in trying to find him.
After accepting the offer, Felix soon realises how far he needs to go to bring his brother to justice, and that situations are rarely as black and white as they seem…
