A necromancer's other half is targeted by a serial killer who collects birthmark like runes off of people's bodies. Desperate, the necromancer brings their other half back only to find the demon connected to their magic has come with and the ritual didn't quite work as planned as his other half is now undead. That and their other half is consumed with wanting to get back at the killer.
Trying to function as two opposites, the two, as well as the undead's twin, get involved with the killer and his origin as more of their world unravels. All they have is each other in this hostile environment.
