A man walked down a royal hallway, modern silken curtains hugging the medieval stone walls, a contrast to the future right glowing by the windows. But for him, this was a sight no more common than his own reflection and his papers held more importance to him, his eyes hooked to what they said. He did not even need to pay attention to the forest door, which opened from slaves of earth at his arrival.

“Thank you,” His response was ignored as if he thanked the door itself.

Inside the door was a room old and new as in the room the men and women were absorbed by their screens, only breaking from their trance once he entered.

“Morning,”
“Morning,” a monotone drone replied to him. He took his seat and handed the ancient paper, surprising many.

“Ladies and gentlemen, as you are aware the soldiers will be arriving soon. Each one of us needs to be collecting the information provided by these soldiers to provide back to earth. Is everyone aware of their respective scouting parties?” A unison agreement satisfied him.

“That is good. Now we have also been sent a multitude of requests in terms of military support. The tribes of the south are starting to form alliances and take over some of the military camps,” weak murmurs matched many of their physiques.

“So should we respond to the request?” the earthen slaves closed the wood walls shut.
