Pato Atwood had everything going for him. His family was always by his side, his friends supported him, and next in line to be an elder of the Indigo realm. Everything changed in one day. That day started as every other. A field trip to the World Link to teach some children about their history. Every elder and next in line was there, helping educate the kids. But the portal activated. Human scientists came out. The elders led the kids away while Pato and Saido fought them off. The battle led them through the portal and eventually to their capture.
For years, scientists used them and experimented on them, learning everything about them. Eventually, Pato managed to flee with his life, while saido wasn't so lucky. Now, Pato lives among humans, pretending to be one while trying to find a way home.
