Legends speak of a time when the world was plunged into an age of violence. A time when endless wars were waged across the land.
Where Death and Destruction had become the norm.
The young, the old, the innocent, none were spared from the chaos and bloodshed the wars brought forth. Left alone, the world's fate was set on the path of annihilation.
Unable to simply watch as they destroy the world and each other, one of the primordial gods, Ganeyla, descended upon the realm. She then appointed a champion from a race born with the most delicate constitution, yet blessed with a heart full of compassion: Humanity.
With Ganeyla's gift, the human wielded her abilities as though they were his own, and acted as her proxy in order to foster peace with the other races. The human showered them with Ganeyla's blessing and sought to end all conflicts as he journeyed far and wide with his newfound comrades.
Since the dawn of their blood-soaked history, a ray of hope had finally been cast upon the world. Illuminating a kinder future for all of its inhabitants. However, peace also had its price.
Having broken the Gods' iron-clad rule of non-interference with the mortal plane, Ganeyla was stripped of her Godly status and was exiled to the mortal realm.
Despite her fall from grace, Ganeyla was content. Her exile was a small price to pay for everlasting peace. Upon her arrival, her champion and the inhabitants of the world spared no effort in welcoming her. Despite Ganeyla's insistence that she was no longer a God, the people treated her otherwise.
Soon, Ganeyla had grown accustomed to living in the mortal world. Every minute and every day she spent in her exile only served to further her certainty that she made the right choice. Soon, she even began to feel grateful for her so-called punishment.
Days passed, turning into months, years, and then a decade. The world had at long last... finally found peace.
However, tragedy soon befell the former goddess.
One night, as Ganeyla retired to her chambers, her very own champion appeared from inside the room and murdered her, believing that with Ganeyla gone, he would be the utmost authority in the world. Outraged, the subjects of Ganeyla gave chase, but were unable to avenge her.
In time, the human led an army of like-minded beings who wished to go back to the age of conflict. They called themselves the “Invaders”. The Heroes who swore their fealty to the Goddess gallantly fought against these forces of chaos that threatened to destroy her legacy. For the sake of their fallen brethren, the Gods aided the Heroes with their own blessings, leading them to prevail against the Invaders.
Or so it was told.
Several hundreds of years have passed since the tumultuous war between the Heroes and Invaders. The world has vastly changed, and although the past is long gone, the scars of the world shall remind them of events, long-forgotten and discarded into the deepest recesses of history.
A new cast assembles on an old stage. And the broken story re-writes itself anew...
