On the surface, V/DA is the forefront of Ethernian advancement - from cybernetic limb or organ transplants to cosmetic cyber-surgery to keep up with the rise of cyberfashion, V/DA has you covered!

At least, that's what Dr. Angie Obote advertises as her line of work. In reality, Angie works in V/DA's less-than-ethical research facility, monitoring the progress of the latest military experiments and subduing the failed projects. This includes one of the more dangerous failed attempts at cyber-soldier technology, Silverback - once a girl, now shaped into the pinnacle of war machines, locked away after numerous violent incidents.

However, when V/DA's latest toy, a sentient AI dubbed The Echo, rejects the society it was made to serve and seeks to shut down the entire tech-based system of Ether, from air filtration to the individual cyber organs of its citizens, Angie and the rest of V/DA have no choice but to try and fight electrical fire with electrical fire.
