This is my first entry for my Shadow Work.
I’m not a particularly spiritual person, so I won’t put a lot of emphasis on the mystical side of this.
Defining the Shadow. The Shadow isn’t our evil side. It’s a side that we hide because of shame and undesirable. Everyone has a Dark Side in their subconscious. When this Dark Side is ignored, it will find ways to sabotage the conscious life. Working with it offers benefits like a clearer perspective. This is not without it’s risks and sacrifices, so I will proceed with caution.
I hear that the best time to do these exercises is at the end of the day, after dark. We’ll see what happens then.
