Dans le monde D'Aloran, les gens ont cessé de pouvoir rêver. L'équilibre entre leur monde et celui des songes est rompu. Ne pouvant pas rêver les gens deviennent apathiques et tristes. Afin d'éviter cela ils doivent recourir à des rêves artificiels ou se procurer ceux fournis par les chasseurs de songes. Une jeune songeuse verra son destin bouleversé par une vision.
