Description
In a future where everyone's lives are planned out by the all-seeing Elders, the Soul Mate Ceremony, made possible by the Soul Mate Service, is seen as a rite-of-passage for those who successfully reach their eighteenth year. Genetic pairing is the lifeblood of The Society.
Borderline narcissistic Thaddeus Axton has waited eighteen long years to be paired with the girl of his dreams through the Soul Mate Service. However, when he finds himself Soul-Bonded to the modest, effeminate, and incredibly male Aria Toulsend, he can't help but think that it's some kind of cruel joke. In fact, this first homosexual pairing in the Society is purely experimental - a test of the newest genetic engineering breakthrough which allows a male to carry a child.
Although Thaddeus fights to defy the Elders' wishes, he'll soon learn that the sweet, cookie-baking Aria may just be too hard to resist, and when an unexpected threat arises, Thaddeus will learn what it means to love someone other than himself.
