Todays a new day. I'll be 17 in a few months, and I've been planning a trip. My grades are absolutely trash... And I've been planning a trip. I quit my JOB about a month ago = I have no money. And I've been planning a trip. A gap year has always been on the table for me. Something to give my life a little flavor. But before The Gap Tour. THE STATES. I went from Movies & Surfing to Corn & Farming. Huge Leap! But my move makes it 4/50.
My Summer trip: Rent a car. Drive down 3 states to Big & Bad pick up one of my closest friends. Drive another 3 states over, back to Movies & Surfing. Get my favorite cousin and our best friends. Then basically zigzag all the way to the Tiny Apple, Halloween Town and the Land of Potatoes. Ending with a Flight From Freezer Ville to Rainbow Sand. Go on a hike. Maybe follow Forest Fenn. Make camp at one of those beach cliffs. Campfire. Food. Many Key Chains and Shot Glasses. Freedom. Complete freedom even if its only for 2.5 months. I did the math. I know exactly how much gas money we'll need including snacks. About how much well spend on food in each state. Souvenir budget. I know it all. While it's still pretty basic, less than 1% of the the US population has done it. That being said....My Gap year plans maybe just as basic since its just Eurasia backpacking. Maybe hike the PCT and the AT. It'll be a hell of an admissions essay I know that much.
