The story of IceFire and her friend Shadow.
IceFire, formerly MoonRiver, led a normal life. She did what the Authorities told her to do. She ate a healthy diet, and she did her job in school well and got mostly A's.
But then one day, she got sick of it. Her so-called "Utopian city." ended up being a dystopia. She felt constrained. So the two of them made a daring plan to get out.
What follows is the adventures they have in the outside world, and the many things they learn about magic.
