It was hard day, longer than it should be.
Little boy, with beautiful ocean eyes turned seven today. Everybody were excited to see the change of his one eye's colour. They wanted to know the colour of his soulmate eyes. Nothing happened and that was very weird. Is something wrong? Did the soulmate die or is not born yet? So much questions.
Little Nick felt the worst, he didn't know what was going on or why his parents suddenly had such dark eyes, because they were still smiling a while ago.
All kids at his age have two coloured eyes, but when he looked into the mirror to figured out what's happening, his eyes had the same colour.
The guests who came to his celebration suddenly set out to leave. No one even looked at him. After all, who would bother looking at someone who is broken?
Later that night, when the little boy was hidden in his room, looking in the mirror, his parents quietly debated what would happen to him. Their only son is probably broken, such a disgrace to their family.
"What will happen to him now? He's just our son after all ... '' whispered his mother, not very quietly when the little brunet heard them. While his mother is worried about his future, his father does not show the greatest interest.
"I don't have a son," his father said firmly. These words startled his mother and brought tears to little Nick's eyes. "If I had a son, he wouldn't be broken!" He added in his rough voice without a single hesitation.
The boy crawled into bed with a heavy heart and hid under a duvet. He pressed a pillow to his ears so he could no longer hear anything and tried to fall asleep. Although, he tried harder not to cry.
The comfort for him was that he was not crying alone. It's raining outside and small raindrops create a lullaby when they hit the window sill. The night breeze added, bending the trees and thorns of the grass lightly to the rhythm of the quiet melody of the rain. They quietly wish him happy birthday, soothe him. He is not broken, nothing happens, his soulmate finds him. He will not be alone, happiness awaits you, a silent lullaby tells him. The boy's eyes slowly become heavy, and he goes to the realm of dreams, to his better world full of love, where kindred souls do not exist. Nobody calls him broken and doesn't wait for anyone. This does not make him inferior, but exceptional, he will find out.
