A mighty fortress for Humanity has arisen out of the darkness and at it's head sits the infallible King Yulian. His desire for the death and destruction of the Icchorian race has become nearly legendary, and at his side is a host of faithful and extremely deadly warriors. Among them is the young Alois, soon to be eighteen and is the chosen candidate to become the great King Yulian's shadow.

But there is something about Alois that makes him desire more from life, and he knows that is has something to do with his snow white hair and blazing red eyes. But what can he do when he is to be bound to the murderous King who will rip away any chance he has to discover who he really is?

Else where, the Icchorians have found the peace they longed for. Deep underground they have built a sprawling city known as Carpathia. It is here that Layrion has established a no-kill policy when interacting with Humans, including those that now live with them. Their Clan is the first to have lived peacefully alongside the Humans in generations, and she intends to make that the new standard for her race to live by. Will this peace last with the swelling of King Yulian's power? And can Layrion convince her fellow Icchorian to stop killing Humans?

Warnings - there are several scenes of violence and copious amounts of blood. Trigger warnings apply
