Leslie is a single parent and vampire who raises his nephew Todd on his own after his sister and her husband died years ago. The invitation to a tournament in another dimension that promises him a wish as the first prize. He hopes to win and bring back Todds mother but he of course fails. He comes back through a portal and right after him the young and lost girl Jane stumbles out as well. Leslie decides to take care of the poor and lost girl, against all obstacles.
